Designing a jumper
I was gifted this gorgeous yarn but unfortunately is unbranded - it has 50% cotton- 50% merino ! I have used 5.5 mm hook and unbranded yarn - I suggest Scheepjes Stone Washed Minerals XL - Opal
Ocean (906) Aprox 600g to achieve the effect ❤️ Happy crocheting ❤️
I wants the number to have a large robbing on the bottom, the end of the sleeves and the loose turtle neck.
You can make the ribbing smaller but then you need to make the body of the jumper longer.
Here - you can use any stitch you like - I have chosen a simple hdc/ htc.
In have increased once to adjust the stitch number for the v st pattern.
Here once again my sleeves are shorter than my arm span since I wanted to make large ribbing on the sleeves.
If you would like smaller ribbing chain more to accommodate your arm span - from wrist to wrist.
The loose turtle neck is also a designer choice. If you would like a small turtle neck or 3 row ribbing you can do this.
With this pattern you can make a boat neck jumper as the front and back are the same.
In addition, I have used loose ribbing pattern because I wanted large opening for the neck.
If you would like for the turtle neck to be tighter you will need to close more v stitches for the shoulders and then work front and back post stitches as for the ribbing at the start in step 1.
