Pumpkin Pie Shawlette

Pumpkin Pie Shawlette

The pumpkin pie shawl is inspired by – you guessed pumpkins! It is made of merino wool hand dyed yarn by CosmicgDesign. The shawls is worked in 2 sections. The main section which has ridges and the border section which is lacy and light.

The shawl incorporates not only the appearance of a pumpkin but the laciness adds to its beauty reminding of autumn breeze.

The fabric is textured and lacy which makes it a unique piece.

The pattern is in both UK and USA terminology.

Diagram for the Border of the Shawlette

Once you have done 10 rows of the border you are done – weave any ends you might have.

I usually block the shawls so the stitch definition is better – in this case – the shawl’s border. I usually use steam iron to accomplish the blocking.

Happy crocheting!
