Golden eye summer shoulder bag
Crocheted bag under -30 £.
I love golden colour I find that during the summer months any colour is allowed.
So, I decided to make this simple circle shoulder bag to match my sandals and outfits.
The price of the yarn is also appealing.
The pattern is very simple but the flashy yarn compensates for its simplicity.
The pattern is both in USA and UK terminology.

This part is joining the back and front circle panels for security. I have added a magnetic closure on the inside so it closes with ease.

Here I have gathered all colours
Golden
Brown
Light beige
Off white and 2 strings of golden white
So I worked with 6 strings together
Chain 7
Work htc/htc in each stitch
You will have 6 stitches.
If you would like the bag to be wider make more stitches in the foundation chain.
Depending on your tension/ gauge the middle base should be the size of the circle when folded +1 inch/2cm
When you start making the rectangle panel fold it and measure if it is the size of the circle panels. If folded is the size of the circle like this make sure it has 1 inch more in length
I have done 32 rows.
This is important as it should cover our circle panels on both sides and bottom like this -photo below.
Size of middle panel to circle panel ratio
Attaching the 3 panels together
You will need a large eye needle. I have attached the golden white thread for this part. Work on the wrong side of the panels as shown in the photo below.
We secure the yarn on the rectangle panel. Then we use whip stitch to secure both panels.
On the circle panel we do not whip stitch on the reverse round but on the last round of the golden/white round.
Whip stitch
Placement of tassels and shoulder strap
you are done
Happy crocheting !
